Limited alpha policy

Alpha terms of use

Last updated 12 July 2026

By using this limited Paperlog alpha, you agree to these terms and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not create or publish activity.

The service

Paperlog lets readers find research papers, record personal ratings, save and organize papers, publish reader notes and replies, and document code or reproducibility experiences. It is experimental and may change, experience interruptions, or contain incomplete scholarly metadata.

Your content

You retain ownership of your original notes, replies, lists, profile text, and reproducibility reports. You grant Paperlog a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, back up, and technically process that content only as needed to operate and improve the service. You may delete your content and account using the available controls.

Your responsibilities

You must be at least 18, use an account you control, and submit only lawful content you have the right to publish. Do not impersonate others, manipulate ratings, harass authors or readers, disclose private information, upload copyrighted papers, or present unsupported misconduct allegations as facts.

Moderation

Paperlog may label, restrict, or remove content and suspend participation to enforce these terms or law. Affected users may request reconsideration through the contact form. Authors do not receive a right to remove good-faith criticism solely because it is negative.

No scientific endorsement

Ratings and notes are personal opinions and experiences, not formal peer review, professional advice, or Paperlog verification. Paperlog does not warrant the accuracy of user content or third-party metadata.

Availability and liability

The alpha is supplied without a promise of uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Paperlog is not responsible for decisions made in reliance on reader content or external paper links.
